👋 Hey, I’m Blake.

I used to be a really big and unhealthy guy. Not that I’m small now, but I definitely wasn’t then! My family has a history of health issues and I lost a lot of people I cared about at a young age.

Being so big killed my confidence, but I honestly just thought that was how I was born so that is how I would stay.

Years later I had a friend that asked me to come play football and that is what started my interest into the world of fitness. Another buddy was doing Catch Wrestling at the time and introduced me to grappling.

I got into lifting and running and just got hooked. I knew that I wanted to learn more, but I had no clue how to afford an education.

One of my football coaches happened to be a retired Colonel in the Army and let me know they would pay for my college. Sure enough, they paid for me to do 4 years at Western Kentucky University (WKU).

I graduated from WKU with my degree in Exercise Science & Kinesiology. I also during that time got certified as a Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and became a Stretch Practitioner through Stretch Zone.

I have spent my last few years learning to help others and myself with that knowledge. I also spent the last few years learning BJJ from Donny Wallace at HICSMMA.

I thought I was going to go in there with my Catch Wrestling and Army Combatives experience and dominate the mats. Instead I got served my humble pie and proceeded to try and soak up any information they would teach me.

I love finding ways to blend my fitness and Jiu Jitsu knowledge to make myself a better grappler. Jiu Jitsu has helped me become more patient, confident, and a better person.

It scratches that side of my brain that loves to think and learn while also working the caveman side of my brain that just wants to fight and compete. Not everyone has to compete, but I think everyone should do Jiu Jitsu.

If you like fitness tips and advice relevant to grappling then I hope you find my content helpful! If you need help with anything fitness related then reach out and I would love to help! If you don’t do Jiu Jitsu then you absolutely should start! 🥋 02/21/2025

I work with people who want to lose a significant amount of weight and keep it off. I currently help a handful of clients and would love to help more.

I found a passion for fitness a while ago and it really helped me change my life. I went from 380lbs and miserable, to losing over 130lbs and have managed to keep it off for years now. I have my Bachelors degree in Exercise Science, I'm a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, but most importantly I've been there and done it. I know what you are going through and I can relate to your issues because I had those same issues.

If you or anyone you know wants/needs to lose a significant amount of weight and want to change their life then shoot me a message and let's get you going in the right direction.

Completed my first official half-marathon today and it was a rough one. Started out strong, but slowed down after mile 9. I will definitely know what to expect for the next one. If you are ever thinking of doing one, definitely make sure you train properly for it. Cardio was never an issue, muscle endurance was definitely my limiting factor.

I've hit my limit and want to keep growing, but I also want to make sure I can give my clients the attention they need. If you are interested in Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching and you want to help me out then shoot me a DM and lets talk!
