Our bocce teams brought home gold and silver medals this past weekend at the Special Olympics State Summer Games! Way to go athletes! 🥇🥈

What an outstanding display at the Special Olympics State Summer Games! The Traditional Volleyball team claimed the State Championship title, and the Modified Team took home a well-deserved silver medal. Congratulations, Wildcats!

Seneca County Volleyball Game for tomorrow 5/19/26 has been cancelled!

Wood County Special Olympics is proud to announce that 38 local athletes will be competing in the Special Olympics Ohio State Summer Games in Columbus.

On Friday, May 29th, 14 track athletes and 6 bocce athletes will travel to Columbus to kick off competition and represent Wood County. Join us for a send-off celebration at Wood County Board of DD Friday morning at 8AM!

Several young athletes will be attending the Summer Games for the very first time and are especially excited for this opportunity. In addition, both of Wood County’s Volleyball teams earned 1st place at Regionals, securing their spot at the State Summer Games.

We are incredibly proud of all our athletes for their hard work and dedication this season. Earning the opportunity to compete at the state level is a tremendous accomplishment, and we’re excited to see them showcase their skills!

Wood County Special Olympics Wildcats are excited to support the new Inclusive Recreation Turf Field campaign launched through the Wood Lane Foundation and WCBDD! 💙

This field will create more opportunities for individuals of ALL abilities to play, connect, compete, and belong right here in Wood County.

Not only will this space benefit Special Olympics programming, but it will also support inclusive recreation activities, playgroups, wellness opportunities, and so much more for our community.

There are many ways to get involved - from sponsoring a yard on the field to larger sponsorship opportunities.
