Unfortunately, we did not get a finishers picture for our 5K winners. In 🥇 we had Knox Lankford, in 🥈 we had Brian Goff, in third 🥉 we had Westin Lankford.

This group had broken away from the main pack and avg. 21 mph on a course with lots of tight corners. there were also two riders close behind which were apart of this breakaway group.

They won from an early breakaway on lap 4 with Ray Frescas who was close behind for 4th. 25mph avg.

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported our event this weekend. It was a great first event at the track. We hope to do this again next year with possibly a race series during the sunmer. We got a lot of positive feedback and also some constructive criticism. We hope to make next years better! We were able to raise money for a good cause and everyone left safely. At the end of the day that’s what’s important. Pleas keep tabs on the page for future events, and tell everyone to come next year!

Per some questions that have been asked:

To encourage racers to ride to their full capability, we will be allowing racers who are dropped early in the A group to ride in the B group race. This will be determined on a case by case basis. We will not be giving out the exact standards so that everyone will race their best. We would hate for someone to be dropped on the first lap and not be able to enjoy their experience, but also don’t want racers sandbagging the B race.

Come out to the Corvette track on October 7th at 5:30 for the inaugural NCM Track Criterium and 5k! 100% of the proceeds will go to the Sacred Selections adoption agency. Sacred Selections began in 2006 and has since put 458 children from all over the world into Christian homes. Their mission is to is to promote adoption and remove the financial barrier to adoption for Christian families.
We will have two criterium races, one will be an advanced group that will follow the outside edge of the track and that race will be immediately followed by the intermediate group and 5k on two separate sections of the track. Please feel free to come as early as 5:00 if you will be apart of the Class A criterium to get warmed up in the parking lot.

As mentioned on the race website A Class criterium is only for advanced, trained riders. There will be a judge to pull riders who are in danger of being lapped to avoid dangerous situations. This would be considered cat 1-3 level.

B Class event will still be competitive and there will also be a judge to pull off riders in danger of being lapped. It will start after the Class A event at 6:45pm. This is still a race but is for beginner, intermediate riders who have some training, but not much experience racing. considered Cat 4/5 riders.

There will be lighting on the track primarily for the Class B bike race to those who are worried about daylight.

The 5K Will be started at 6:45pm at the same time as the Class B Criterium. It will consist of 4 laps of a flat 0.83 mile course.

The red will be the Class B race criterium and the yellow will be the 5k race. The yellow route will vary slightly to avoid a steep hill. There will be 8 laps of the bike race, and four laps for the 5k. Kids under 14 can come free and walk or run with parents. Young children may also ride their bikes as long as they ride on the left side and are accompanied by parent.
