LLAB Weeks 9, 10, 11, 13

Over the past four weeks at Detachment 620, cadets have continued to build essential skills across multiple areas of training. Cadets practiced threat response procedures, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), and proper ex*****on of a 9-Line MEDEVAC request. GMC also advanced their proficiency in Drill and Ceremonies, where they learned to march as a squadron and completed a formal flight drill evaluation. Additionally, AS-100s were introduced to the command “Counter March.”
During Week 11, cadets participated in GLP Day 2, where they learned the fundamentals of a Forward Operating Site (FOS). Cadets were dispersed throughout the detachment and tasked with establishing a functioning FOS within a two-hour window, reinforcing teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
Week 13 marked the final Cadet Readiness Day of the semester. Cadets received simulated deployment orders and were challenged to navigate the tasks and stressors associated with preparing for a real-world deployment. The day concluded with a briefing from Lt. Col Boytim, who provided insight into what cadets can expect during an actual deployment environment.
