FLOAT Outfitters

Our story...

Wanting to share our love of paddling with others (and give my two teens some responsibility), we started renting out our kayaks when we weren’t on the water. As it turns out, a lot of other people wanted the same experience. So, after a little legal work and buying a few more kayaks, Float Outfitters LLC was born!

Since we are owners/paddlers, we take pride in the quality of our kayaks. Comfort and safety matter. We only rent out what we enjoy paddling. Our fleet is small, but we have several styles of kayaks (Perception sit-on, sit-in, and tandem). Available kayaks can be seen in the photo section.

Regarding how we operate, we keep it simple. We service one stretch of water on Drakes Creek in Bowling Green, Kentucky (Romanza Johnson Park to Phil Moore Park). Its a half day leisurely 3-4 hour float. From my experience, with kids who swim at every gravel bar, it’s a little longer. If you need a shuttle, we can do it. Either way, everything you need to paddle (kayak, paddle, and life jacket) is provided. Click “service” tab or “book now” button on FB page for more details.

About me? I have been paddling (along with many other outdoor sports) since I was a kid. My love of woods and water runs deep. I practice and encourage “leave no trace,” responsible, and safe behavior when in the outdoors. Outdoor experiences are spiritual, therapeutic, restorative, and an important part of my life. Sharing those experiences with others is important. Float Outfitters is an opportunity to do just that.
