We were feeling pretty good last night with all four cars winning first round in the McIlvain pits. Then this morning smacked us right between the eyes…gotta love drag racing! We did have a fun weekend of racing with Mandi and Payton and the grandbabies! Wanted to do better for our fearless leader Pat LaMont. Over thought my numbers. I can hear him in my head “just get them there”. I did that and then some…We get another shot in a couple weeks when we head to Beech Bend Raceway Park to run the NHRA Sports National and NHRA North Central Division 3 double.

Well we did a little better in the 2nd race going out in the third round. All in all we had a pretty good weekend. Thank you Summit Raceway Park and NHRA North Central Division 3! Next up for the kids will be at US131 in a couple weeks

It may have taken me, Kimbra and Gus nine hours for a 5.5 hour trip but we made it to Summit Motorsports Park for the NHRA North Central Division 3 double header!! In the first race Kimbra lost 2nd round. There’s one nice thing about a double, you have another race to improve! Won first round of the second race so we get to run on Sunday and hopefully go a few more rounds! ?

What a fun weekend running with the America's 1320s at the Funny Car Chaos at Great Lakes Dragaway! Wild W***y went the fastest he’s ever been in the Illinois Outlaw Fiat. 7.63 @ 180mph. To top off the weekend my Manchester “grandkids” along with Mr. Bode Lee came out to see us! Next up for Bill with be the Out-Of-Site Drags at Great Lakes June 26-27th. Come on out and see some good ole nostalgia racing! ***y
