As a hairstylist, my job isn’t always about making someone pretty.
I’ve hugged girls after a breakup.
I’ve prayed for women who just got divorced or in an abusive relationship.
I’ve given encouraging words to the girl getting ready to start college or a new job.
I’ve been the first to realize someone is pregnant by the texture of their hair.
I’ve caught thyroid problems on the lady with a thinning scalp.
I've pointed out skin cancerous spot.
And I've cut long hair off to prepare for chemo.

Being a hairstylist isn’t easy. See, when women (or men) come into the salon they’re not coming in just for a “new do”.
The majority of the time I have to give them so much more than a fresh haircut or color.

And it is hard to find the words to say to help comfort, encourage & let them know everything is going to be okay.

I’ve said this before and I still believe I’m not in this business to just do hair. I believe God has placed me here to be a light to those who may be hurting, sick, stressed or any other situation in their lives.
Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to say to someone, especially if you’ve never been through what they’re going through.
But I pray God keeps sending them so I can keep lighting the sparks and show there’s good to come in this world. The enemy loves to drag us down where he knows it hurts. It’s heartbreaking to see what some people have to endure in this life. But keep sending them Lord! Even if you don’t hear me, it doesn’t mean I’m not praying for you. ❤️

I will tell anyone in this world that I have the best job in the world and my clients are not just business to me.. they (ALL OF YOU) have a piece of my heart. Because guess what I work for myself and I can choose my clients and if you are a client of mine YOU HAVE A PIECE OF MY HEART. I care about you. I love you. And you are so so special to me.
I am always here. Thank you for supporting me on this journey.
