Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming back Billy Wilkes, a special part of the Cyprian Keyes story.

Billy was part of the construction crew that built Cyprian Keyes in the mid-1990s, working alongside owner, Bob Frem. His most notable project was shaping all of our greens — a job requiring skill, patience, and precision.

Billy and Bob recently reconnected over lunch at Cyprian’s Restaurant, reminiscing about the fun, stress, and challenges of those early days.

If you’ve played our Par-3 Course, you may know Wilkes Pond on the 9th hole was named in Billy’s honor, for the pond he built beside the greenside bunker.

We’re grateful for the lasting mark Billy left on Cyprian Keyes and honored to call him a friend.
