Fat Tire Bike Race
Operating as usual
What a great day yesterday! Thanks again to everyone who braved the frigid temps while racing, volunteering, or spectating!
Will you be grabbing hardware today???
Best of luck to all racers!
Online registration for Fat & Flurrious 2022 is now closed, but we will be offering day-of registration at North Country Cycle from 8 am to 9 am tomorrow before the race starts at 10.
Stiggs Brewery & Kitchen has again generously offered their brewhouse space and restrooms to be used pre-race for changing. Stiggs' 5 Year Anniversary party is tomorrow, so we encourage all racers to enjoy great food and brews after the 1 pm awards ceremony in the Stiggs parking lot.
North Country Cycle has been a huge help throughout the last few months as race prep has been ongoing, and they've handled all grooming and course prep. If you need any bike parts or accessories, Mike and crew will take care of you!
Thank you to the entire Boyne City community and our dedicated volunteers. This race wouldn't be possible without our incredible local support!
Online registration ends at 9 am tomorrow (Friday)! We'll also have day-of registration from 8 am to 9 am at North Country Cycle.
The course at Avalanche Mountain is firm and fast.
The forecast is calling for crisp air and sunny skies.
It's shaping up to be an excellent Saturday for racing!

We're just days away from Fat & Flurrious 2022!
The forecast looks cold and crisp, and the course at Avalanche Preserve should be firm and fast.

It takes a village to put on a bike race! We're still in need of volunteers to help out this Saturday (1/15) during Fat & Flurrious 2022 in Boyne City.
If you're interested in lending a hand, comment on this post, message our page, or email Lynn at [email protected].
Thanks to all of our volunteers, both those who have assisted with prep and those who will be helping on race day!
Avalanche Preserve in Boyne City is currently a winter wonderland - just what we were hoping to see less than a week out from Fat & Flurrious 2022!

Who's ready to race?!?
More typical winter weather has finally returned to Northern Michigan! We've gotten some fresh lake effect this week, and temps are chilly.
With continued cold weather in the forecast, conditions should be great for race day next Saturday (1/15)!
If you've been waiting to register, take the plunge now: https://fatandflurrious.com/register
Each year, Fat & Flurrious race proceeds are put toward new trail development in the Top Of Michigan Mountain Bike Association core region of Charlevoix and Emmet counties.
Proceeds from the upcoming race will be put toward planned jump lines and downhill trails at the Boyne Forest trail system. Flowtrack Mountain Bike Trails did an incredible job with the Double Dog trail that opened last summer, and TOMMBA has contracted with Flowtrack for the new trails that will be built on the same property.
Just another reason to sign up for Fat & Flurrious 2022!
Can you believe that race day is four weeks from tomorrow?!?
If you haven't registered for Fat & Flurrious 2022, check it off your list here: www.fatandflurrious.com
