On this weeks episode of the Mossy Oak Bottomland builds…. The first was an addition to a FHF Gear chest rig, second was going on a MYSTERY RANCH BACKPACKS the third was going to a tracker from NW Alabama and the last well the last was a complete one off for a custom chest harness the end user was building. Day 2 Recap - deer season opens tomorrow.
Seen some stud muley bucks driving in for afternoon.
Some improvised bow tuning tweaking Ben’s 3rd axis.
Great sites glassing and scouting.
Made a play on a group of antelope but couldn’t get close enough.
Joined by a good friend from out west.
Saw a load of deer and antelope throughout the day.
Couldn’t ask for more.

Day 1 recap.
Hell of a long drive but great times were had.
Pitched the Alaknak on its maiden journey.
Headed to get up into public - drove past an absolute tank of an antelope.
Busted our butts to try get in to chase some goats and do a little scouting. Put in 6 miles in a little over 3 hours.
Seen an absolute stud whitetail on the side of the road out here in muley country.
Got back to camp LATE - unpack camp, supper at 11:30PM, plans and packs ready for an early morning.

I get to write this post in a much better mood. After we got back from Illinois, I was a little bummed out. Even though I shot a great deer, I was trying to figure out in my head how do I put an episode together for CarbonTV on the trip. Because as most of you know we self film all of our hunts, and not everything pans out the way you want it to. Well after shooting my buck, we got back to the lodge, and played my tactacam footage back and lone behold, even though it said it was recording, it did not. I am happy to say, it turned out my go pro did get it. Talk about make me feel good. So finally here are some of the still shots we took on the trip.

We put the GEN2 Chest Rig to work on the river last week and it was epic. One of the upgrades to the GEN2 is the airframe harness which made the long days incredibly comfortable. Who else is logging time on the water? *NOTE: If you're running a previous FHF Gear chest rig version, you can easily upgrade it to the airframe.
