WE DID IT!

Meet Dolly. 🤠

She’s a Tikka T3x Varmint chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, with a 24-inch stainless heavy barrel, and a factory walnut stock with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece.

Named in honor of a beautiful, hardworking woman, obviously. 🎀

These are the official before pictures. No upgrades, no optic, and not a single round through her yet.

That all comes next.

And at the end of October, she’s coming with me to First Hunt on the Front for my first Montana deer hunt with the First Hunt Foundation.

She’s got a long way to go before then. But LOOK AT HER.

I asked you to help me choose my first Tikka.

You gave me cartridge recommendations, aftermarket stocks, some incredible photos, and several financially irresponsible build sheets.

And then Rich Cotte extended an invite.

But instead of telling me which r***e to choose, he gave me a reason to choose one.

Rich is the Vice President of First Hunt Foundation, and he invited me to join four other first-time hunters for First Hunt on the Front, a fully mentored deer hunt at the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Ranch near Dupuyer, Montana, at the end of October.

And then he made the invitation even better. Jason is becoming an official First Hunt mentor, and he’ll be there with me.

So I sat Jason down with your recommendations to find out what we got right, what we got wrong (nothing, of course), and what I actually need to take this r***e hunting.
