Too often we see new clients who are caught up in how fast and how heavy certain workouts and exercises can be performed.
While there is a time and place for that, we frequently ask our members to slow down and focus on how well the movements can be performed.
When too much emphasis is placed on the clock or how much load we're using, we run the risk of losing the connection to those movements and in turn losing the value behind them.
We're ready when you are.

"I transitioned to Altitude after doing CrossFit for several years. After making the switch I would say one of the main differences I've noticed is that I'm super energized after the workouts rather than just trying to recover.
Also, the programming is much more relevant and complimentary to outdoor sports and I'm already noticing my aerobic capacity and endurance improving when I hit the trails."

Our new training cycle kicked in this week with an emphasis on our Interval Weight Training format.
These workouts focus on compound movements paired with shorter, higher intensity sprints and slightly longer rest periods.
These workouts help build our anaerobic system and improve our ability to accomplish higher power output tasks outside.

This week saw the start of a 2-week stamina cycle, where our focus shifts to emphasize longer, steadier paced workouts with ergs, bikes, running, slideboards, and core work.
This is our most aerobic format of training, but also serves as a way to deload the body after a month-long strength cycle.
This approach helps us stay resistant to overuse injury, burnout, and will yield better results longterm for our clients.
