The almost monthly post is here. š On our mind is gratitude.
It's not a secret that gratitude can change your life, but it can also improve your sports performance as well.
The most simple exercise is to write down three good things that happen to you each day. No matter how big or small. Include in your writing what your part was to make it happen.
This could take no more than 5 minutes out of your day. Compile all of the "gratitudes" at the end of the week and choose your best 3 for weekly success. Try and notice any trends.

Ride fast and be chill. You can be one of the best on race day and have an excellent, gracious attitude. Being present in the moment and realizing the cameraman is right there is an awesome way to be.
Do you need help with improving your mindset for your upcoming training and racing? Let us know. We can provide you the tools to have the best mindset.
Time for the monthly post:
It's the end of summer and you still have some races you are training for. Spend some time practicing your race day visualization (here are some tips):
Be specific and detailed
Visualize the good (and not so good)
Think about all those great workouts you had
Remind yourself about what you can control
It may even be helpful to write some of this down. Stay positive with self-affirmation and self-talk. Use whatever mantras which are beneficial. We like, "Keep Moving Forward!"
Need some help with coaching? Let me know; I am happy to assist.
It's been awhile since posting. We are alive and well. Below is a link to some beginner programs for running and swimming. Look for more updates to this page for future programs.

Iām reflective only in the sense that I learn to move forward.
I reflect with a purpose.

It is the 7th year of the Bozeman Triathlon and I act as the race director. It's a fun, competitive event that welcomes all levels.
I always look forward to race weekend to see familiar faces and those newer to the sport.
You don't lose if you get knocked down,
you lose if you stay down.
If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.
Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.
Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
Keep moving forward!
The rewards are going to come, but my happiness is just loving the sport and having fun performing.
Experience is a hard teacher because they give the test first, the lesson afterward.
You can motivate by fear, and you can motivate by reward. But both those methods are only temporary.
The only lasting thing is self-motivation.
"To uncover your true potential you must first find your own limits and then you have to have the courage to blow past them."
It's not the will to win that matters - everyone has that.
It's the will to prepare to win that matters.
You must not only have competitiveness but ability, regardless of the circumstance you face, to never quit.
You come in to work,
put that game face on,
leave your problems at home,
stay strong.
You can't put a limit on anything.
The more you dream, the farther you get.
