Tampa, Fla. - Logan Cruz and Leeroy Sh**un (The Gifted) were able to take care of business in their respective matches at Locking Horns at the Dallas Bull in Tampa with Cruz retaining the UCW Universal Championship over Steve Sterling.
Cam Fox vs Baby Keef:
The show opened up with a match of speed as Cam Fox was looking to bounce back after losing his UCW Intergalactic Championship rematch last month. His opponent, Baby Keef, was still looking for his first singles win in UCW.
Keef started off strong hitting several high flying moves including a big hurricarana, but soon ‘The Dungeon Kid’ would put a halt to Keef’s offense and would take advantage by damaging his upper body.
Keef would eventually mount a comeback against the two-time UCW Intergalactic Championship and hit a crucial spear before sealing the pinfall after hitting the Air Drop.
After the match, Fox and Keef shook hands as a sign of mutual respect.
Annihilation (Chungus and Scyther) vs Jack Maguire and Tim Foil:
Heading into the next match, The Annihilation were looking to get some momentum after Chungus’ singles victory over Johnny Walker. Answering the call was an unusual team of fan favorites in Jack Maguire and Tim Foil.
The Annihilation would waste no time as they attacked Maguire and Foil before the bell rang. As the match commenced, Maguire and Foil would utilize their speed in contrast to Chungus and Scyther using their power. Foil would face trouble in the corner, but as Chungus would attempt a frog splash to no avail, this would open the chance for a hot tag to Maguire.
The Annihilation were about to go for their double team finisher, but push in the corner would send Scyther out of the ring and have Maguire and Foil roll up Chungus for a three-count.
Kai Price vs Leeroy Sh**un:
After several months away, Kai Price made his awaited return to the company with a new persona in him. Meanwhile, Leeroy Sh**un was looking to get another consecutive win in singles action.
The match was another battle of technical speed (Price) vs technical power (Sh**un). Price would eventually take advantage of the match, but soon Sh**un would rally with a comeback. In the end, Sh**un would come out victorious after hitting the Careless Whisper.
TJ Brady vs Jonathan Hudson vs KJ Mack vs Xander Maddox (Four Way Match to Determine the No. 1 contender for the UCW Intergalactic Championship):
While Dagan McCarter was focusing on his match with Johnny Walker, four wrestlers were looking to earn a championship opportunity of their own: TJ Brady, Jonathan Hudson, Xander Maddox and KJ Mack.
All four wrestlers showed their prowess in the ring and even teamed with each other. Towards the end, Maddox was able to hit the Project Acts on Brady, but a crafty Hudson would throw him out of the ring and pin Brady to earn his title shot.
Johnny Walker vs*Dagan McCarter (Falls Count Anywhere Bar Brawl for the UCW Intergalactic Championship):
‘The Magnificent’ Johnny Walker was looking to get a second chance at the UCW Intergalactic Championship against Dagan McCarter. As he took his frustrations out on the fans, McCarter would come out ready to fight and decided to up the ante as he challenged Walker to a falls count anywhere bar brawl.
While Walker would not agree to it and try to find a way out, UCW general manager Tatiana Brewer would come out and confirm that the match would be upgraded to a bar brawl.
Walker would waste no time as he mounted a substantial amount of offense that would be taken outside the ring while introducing an aluminum trash can (lid included), steel chair, sledgehammer and a table.
Once again, Walker tried to destroy McCarter’s career with a sledgehammer, but just like at Universal Fury 16 he would miss and McCarter would mount a comeback with two sledgehammer shots to Walker in the back.
Heading towards the end, Walker would to attempt to powerbomb McCarter through the table, but with incredible ring awareness McCarter would counter and send Walker through the table with a one handed bulldog for the pinfall victory.
The Regulators (Jaxson Slade and Brian Brock) vs *Sean Scott and Jake St. Patrick (UCW Tag Team Championship):
Sean Scott and Jake St. Patrick were looking to keep their championship dream alive as they defended their titles against the Regulators (Jaxson Slade and Brian Brock).
Scott and St. Patrick got off to a quick using their speed and experience, but a costly mistake would put St. Patrick in trouble as Slade and Brock worked on his back, which include an avalanche powerslam from Brock.
St. Patrick was able to make a hot tag to Scott and would clean house. In the end, Scott and St. Patrick were able to retain their championships as Scott hit an axe kick on Brock.
Madisyn Maxwell vs Rocky Radley vs Jennacide:
Newcomer Madisyn Maxwell was looking to make a name for herself following her debut at Bar Brawl last month. In her path were two challenges, Rocky Radley and Jennacide.
As the match started, Maxwell would attempt to work with Radley and double team Jennacide. It would work briefly until Radley would go for the pin which would cause Maxwell to break it up.
The match would then continue outside the ring as Maxwell would attempt a crossbody on her opponent, but it would backfire as they carried her and slammed her in the ring.
Maxwell would once again try to take advantage and pin both wrestlers to no avail. This would give Jennacide the opportunity to finish Radley, but instead she would hit a chokeslam on Maxwell on top of Radley and pin them both for the win.
Steve Sterling vs *Logan Cruz (UCW Universal Championship):
In the main event for the UCW Universal Championship, ‘The Jersey Jewel’ Steve Sterling would make his triumphant return to the ring, but he would not be alone as he had Johnny Walker in his corner. To even the playing field, Cruz would have his tag team partner, Leeroy Sh**un, watch his back.
As the match went underway, Cruz would start off quick, but then would face an issue with Walker distracting him in the corner and causing Sterling to target his head and upper body.
Cruz would however mount a comeback and regain his momentum until Walker would get involved and cause Sh**un to intervene. The distraction would have Sterling hit Cruz with a low blow for a close two count.
Sterling attempted to seize an opportunity of hitting Cruz with a chair, but Sh**un’s quick reaction stopped h as Cruz was able to hit the Right Hand of God and retain his championship.
After the match, Walker and Sterling would attack Cruz and Sh**un, but it would backfire and send them out of the ring in retreat. Cruz would then challenge both men at a later event before celebrating his championship retainment.
