A little personal story:
Some of you may know back around Thanksgiving, I injured my left knee. (The right knee is the one Iโve had history of injury and surgeries on). XRays & MRI showed a healthy knee joint, but with inflammation and a mild effusion. Diagnosed as capsulosynvitis and patellofemoral syndrome.
Over the next several months, I would work, it would be swollen and painful at the end of the night. I received 2 anti-inflammatory injections which helped some. Started seeing the chiropractor to help with hip alignment. However it would still be reaggravated at the end of each day. Not good when my job is so physical!
This past Friday I told my chiropractor I wondered if my kneecap was out of alignment. Lo and behold it was!!! She was able to pop it back in place and what do you know! My knee is better! Other than a little residual soreness and swelling, itโs ๐ฏ better!!
Moral of the story is treating the symptoms will only provide short term relief. Finding the root cause of the problem and addressing that will allow full healing and restoration.
Yes of course it hurt like hell when she set my knee. A little bit (ok a lot) of pain was temporary and worth it to be back in alignment.
