💡If you do ANYTHING…. Do THIS. It affects EVERYTHING - mobility, stability, your nervous system - EVERYTHING ✨ EXPANSION vs ELEVATION When you BREATHE IN do you get ribcage expansion ? ….or ribcage elevation? ⚠️ This is the difference between using your diaphragm to breathe (your primary muscle of breathing) vs using your neck and shoulders ( accessory muscles of breathing). EXPANSION ✅ it creates expansion 360 degrees around your ribcage ✅ it creates back body expansion is key to having a well functioning core ✅ It charges your core creating a pressure strategy for stability = supporting you from the inside out ✅ it calms your nervous system ELEVATION ❌creates chronic neck tension ❌closes in your shoulders ❌disrupts core, breathing & posture ❌disconnects your pelvis and ribcage ❌it leaves you forced to stabilize from the outside in = gripping ❌ it gets you stuck in your sympathetic nervous system - fight flight freeze ..not a fun place to get stuck ✨This is such an important concept.
