Last but certainly not least of our senior spotlight shines bright on Ella Christensen 🔥🏉

Ella was the glue for The Tribe when things were light and when things were heavy. The way she connects her teammates off the pitch resembles how she plays on it. Whether it was a timely ruck, a clutch jackal, the right pass or a mean stiff arm, Ella always found ways to keep The Tribe in motion on the pitch.

Ella has the perfect delivery and timing of her vintage “Bruh”. Proven to be usable and versatile in any conversation 😅

Ella is the first to break the ice, the first to make new players feel welcome. She’s the first to pull new players aside and teach and talk them if they seem overwhelmed. Ella isn’t afraid to ask the questions that most players are.🖤🏉

Not only is she a perfect ambassador for rugby, she’s also a perfect ambassador for the US as she forges a career in the US Army. 💪🏾🇺🇸

We’re so proud of you, Ella!! 🥲🏉💪🏾

Next in our Senior spotlight is the one and only Abigail Anderson 😤

Another one of the pillars for the tribe, for 4 years she was Carlie’s partner in crime, The Batman to Carlie’s Superman, Abby was The Yin while Carlie was the Yang! ☯️

Abby was one of the few that always showed up to training to get better. Everything she does on the pitch makes her team and teammates better. She’s one of the consistent few that would show up no matter how many said would be at practice 💪🏾

Her calm demeanor and lead by example nature made her the perfect captain! The few times she raised her voice over the years, WE ALL LISTENED! 💪🏾

Unfortunately we didn’t get to see her beast out this spring as she was coming back from foot surgery, but we did get to see her one last tournament in black in KC this summer! 🏉🏉

A Swiss Army knife on the pitch, Abby can play and thrive at every position, 7s or 15s, but she was most dangerous at ho**er. There she controlled the middle of the pitch! Abby is a textbook tackling and rucking machine! And she always makes the right decision! 💪🏾💪🏾

Abby is off to do big things at Howard University and play rugby for HUWRC 👸🏾💪🏾🏉

Next up on our senior spotlight is Carlie
She hates the spotlight, but she gon get it today! 😤

Carlie has had many titles when it comes to how she plays rugby, “The Enforcer”, “The Eraser”, “The DOG”
This season she finished with the most important of all, “The Captain “🫡
She played rugby all 4 years of HS fall and Spring. A pillar and leader of Liberty North and KC United girls teams, she was also consistently one of the best girl wrestlers in the state! Carlie was always the first to practice and many times one of the 2 or 3 that would show up. She always puts in the work to get better!!

Carlie is a woman of very few words on the pitch. She shows up and she means business. I think we’ve all had at least one time of being extra cautious to talk to her because her faces will tell you, she was not there for the bs 😅

At the same time, Carlie was a huge goofball and big sweetheart off the pitch. No matter where we played or during team meetings at a coaches house, little kids flock to her. You would swear she was their big sister the way she’s been used as a jungle gym or went on walks with them during tournaments or practices to calm them down. And she always had the best candid photos! 😅

Carlie is going to continue playing rugby for the Iowa Central women’s team and is in the midst of becoming an EMT! 💪🏾

We’re going to miss her so much! But we know we’ll see her again!! Carlie will always be a part of THE TRIBE!! 🏉🖤💪🏾

Senior spotlight number 1 - mcgoudiaby

Marie-Claire showed to her first rugby practice ever this spring and instantly turned into a student of the game. But even more importantly, she displayed what it means to be a rugger as soon as she got there.

MC became the team “momma-bear” before she ever played her first second. Giving rides and bonding with younger players, communicating with multiple parents to make sure her younger teammates were taken care.

MC is a true rugger through and through. We are so proud of her!! MC is the perfect ambassador to rugby and proof we all family! She plans to continue playing rugby while she attends college in her home country, Canada! We will see you later MC! 🖤🏉💪🏾

Oh nbd just Fallyn Nagle adding 2 more tries to her rookie campaign!! 💪🏾💪🏾So proud of this rugger! Her future is bright!

Thank you Lady Reds High School Rugby 🏉💪🏾 for lending us players to fill out a side for the first match of the day! But the second match of the day was a mix of all the players from both sides! 🏉🏉 more than play, these ruggers played hard on the pitch and truly bonded after it. A perfect rugby day! 🤌🏾

We got one of our Saints Rugby sisters to put on our black jersey today! Thank you Leola Eslinger look forward to seeing ya in a few weeks!
