Samuel “Sam” C. Scott III

Scott is the retired Chairman, President and CEO of Corn Products International, Inc., now known as Ingredion, where he led a global ingredients solutions company. He brings extensive experience in executive leadership and corporate governance, including current service as Lead Independent Director of GCM Grosvenor and previous board service with BNY Mellon, Motorola Solutions and Abbott Laboratories. Scott also serves with nonprofit and civic organizations including Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota Memorial Hospital Foundation and the American Business Immigration Coalition, and holds both a B.S. and M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Selynto Anderson, Ph.D.

Dr. Anderson joined Lee Health in 2022 and leads the health system’s community health impact strategy and programs. He previously served as Vice President of Community Health at Self-Regional Healthcare in South Carolina, where he spent more than 15 years in healthcare leadership, developing initiatives focused on population health, wellness, health access and community health outcomes. Dr. Anderson holds a doctorate in public health from Walden University and currently serves on the boards of Habitat for Humanity of Lee & Hendry Counties, The Chamber of Southwest Florida and Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida.

YMCA of Southwest Florida is pleased to announce Michael Quinn as its Chief Philanthropy Officer.

He brings more than 15 years of transformational fundraising and development leadership across healthcare and higher education. In this role, Michael will lead the strategic vision for philanthropy across YMCA of Southwest Florida, advancing a comprehensive approach to fundraising, donor engagement, and philanthropic growth that supports the Y’s mission and long-term priorities throughout the region.

Michael brings extensive experience building and scaling development programs, developing multi-year philanthropic strategies, strengthening donor engagement systems, and creating sustainable revenue growth aligned with organizational priorities. Throughout his career, he has partnered closely with executive leaders, physicians, academic leaders, and community stakeholders totranslate complex priorities into compelling philanthropic opportunities.

He is also recognized for building high-performing teams and cultivating strong cultures of
philanthropy, while developing meaningful relationships with major donors, institutions, and community leaders. His data-informed approach to fundraising includes deep expertise in donor engagement, pipeline development, and organizational alignment.

“Michael brings the strategic leadership, fundraising expertise, and relationship-building skills that will help position YMCA of Southwest Florida for its next chapter of philanthropic growth,” said GeneT. Jones, President and CEO of YMCA of Southwest Florida. “Philanthropy is essential to our ability to respond to the needs of our communities, expand access to programs and services, and create lasting impact. We are excited to have Michael lead this important work and help us build an even stronger culture of philanthropy across the Y.”

As Chief Philanthropy Officer, Quinn will provide leadership across the organization’s philanthropic strategy, working with staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for philanthropic investment. His work will support the YMCA’s continued growth and its commitment to positively impacting individuals and families throughout Southwest Florida.
