Attention Baseball family:
We will be moving our evaluations this evening indoors. Thank you to Nolan over at Square Up Academy. We are going to be using his indoor facility. Here is the schedule for this evening.
6:00 - 8/9 year olds
6:30 - 10 year olds
7:00 - 11-year-olds
7:30 - 12 year olds

Just a reminder, please do not wear any cleats indoors.

We have a few updates regarding the Draft and Evaluations.

The draft is scheduled for Saturday, 8/24. Parents/players do not need to attend. Only Coaches will be in attendance.

Evaluations were canceled today due to the weather. They are now scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday 8/21 from 6-8pm. If your child cannot make it tomorrow, they can still go to Evaluations on Thursday 8/22 from 6-8pm.

Coaches! If you did not receive an email, there is a meeting at 6:30pm tonight at BRLL. If you are interested in coaching and can’t make it to the meeting, please let us know at Evaluations or send a message to the page.

The Fall season is approaching quickly!

For any child playing kid pitch, evaluations will be Tuesday Aug 20th and Thursday Aug 22nd starting at 6pm.

The draft will occur on Saturday Aug 24th at 9am.

Practices will start the first week of September after Labor Day. There will be 2 practices a week until the season starts. After the season starts there will be 1 practice and 2 games during the week.

This schedule may change, as of now Minors will play games on Tuesdays and Fridays starting at 7pm. Once season starts minors will practice on either Monday or Thursday.

We will provide more information as we receive it. We look forward to seeing many of you next week!

If prompted for proof of residency, BRLL is allowing us to skip this step and continue with registration. Note that if you are not zoned for BRLL, players may not be eligible to try out for the All Stars Team. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Good morning Heritage Harbour Baseball families,
After extensive efforts, sorry to say we will not have a fall baseball season at Heritage Harbour, however we are still hopeful to bring our league back to HH by spring. The negotiations have taken longer than expected, and my goal now has shifted to making sure all of our boys have a place to play in the fall. We have met with Braden River Little League and they are welcoming us with open arms, and it is my suggestion that our families register with Braden River Little league who will open their registration mid July, to ensure the boys have a place to play. I have met with the president of BRLL, the nice thing is most of our boys will be able to stay with their current coaches they are familiar with. BRLL has asked for our board members to merge with theirs and that we not only bring our entire league over but also our coaches. I see this as a very good fit and a better option than going to Buffalo Creek, GT Bray or Lakewood Ranch, which is already at capacity. We will continue to work with the HOA to get back to playing on our home fields, but because of the time restraints we have had to peruse this for the fall. If anyone has any questions you are welcome to give me a call.

Heritage Harbour Baseball families and friends,
I would like to thank you for your overwhelming support of our league yesterday and I hope it continues. I would like to let you know that I spoke with someone yesterday on the HOA board and we clarified a number of things that are causing an issue. It is our hope that we can sit down with the entire HOA board and work out an agreement that will not only benefit the HOA and CDD, but also our league. I want each and every one of you to know we have complied with everything the prior HOA board and the management company has asked us for. We provided insurance on not only our league but also any team that rents our fields. This has become a big concern now with the HOA and CDD but prior to this and up till now, we have done everything they have asked. Please know that we will continue to do as we are asked as much as we possibly can. The CDD is mandated to comply with certain insurance regulations and we will do all we can to make sure we follow what they need. We have followed the guidelines we were notified of and nothing was said to us otherwise until two months ago. However, we want it to be correct, for all parties involved.
I’m letting you know we are working on this. We seem to have someone on the board now willing to talk and help us achieve our goal which is to continue to have Heritage Harbour our home for the league. I will ask that you continue to show your support. I will also ask that nothing negative be said. No personal attacks. No names mentioned. I have been asked for names and phone numbers, I will not give those out. This is a business situation and all parties involved are looking out for their best interest. It is my hope and prayers that we can all work this situation out as soon as possible and we can get this very special league which we all love back on the field.
