Richmond United was established by the Richmond Strikers and Richmond Kickers soccer clubs which united their respective US Soccer Development Academy and created U13-U19 Boys and Girls programs into a single academy to serve the most talented and dedicated players in the region.

After leading the program since its launch in 2018 and growing it to more than 40 teams and 350 players, Ross Mackenzie is passing the torch to Mo Idris for the 2026-27 season.
