The cold and windy morning was vastly different than the conditions we've had all week here at Texas Motorplex, but the Bo Butner Racing team was undeterred and turned on win lights in both Super Gas and Stock! In a heads-up D/SA match with Matt Diamond, RL was .029 on the tree and powered her pretty little Pontiac to a 10.639 to defeat a .044 and 10.701. She advances to the fourth round on Saturday to meet with young Paul Stalba.

In the third round of Super Gas, Bo drove the Clark County Auto Auction/JBA roadster off the starting line with a .017 light next to his red-lighting opponent, and he'll be moving on to the fourth round and a match with Tony Deluzio.

It was awesome seeing our two-time world champ honored as a JEGS Allstar during prerace ceremonies later that day, and it got even better when he turned on the win light in the first round of the special event to Nathan Huber, who ran just a bit too quick on the 9.90 index. He's set to race Tim Powell in the second round of the three-round event.

Saturday should be a ton of fun, and the weather might be even cooler. Texas, what are you trying to do to us? It's anyone's race, and that's why we love it!

After two rounds of eliminations today/tonight, Bo and RL are both advancing to round three of the NHRA Texas FallNationals! It was a crazy day, and we had hoped to be able to make the NHRA FanFest in downtown Ennis and sign autographs with the JEGS Allstars, but with the potential for weather tomorrow NHRA had us run second round tonight. We know there were some folks expecting us to be there, so thank you for understanding! We hope to catch up with you soon.

Tomorrow, we race another elimination round.... and it'll be time to kick off the JEGS Allstars, too! After a great start here, Bo will be ready to make a run for that special title in Super Gas. For now, the wind is picking up so we're going to batten down the hatches. Back at it bright and early!

The Stampede of Speed at Texas Motorplex is well underway, and we've got two rounds of qualifying for the main event - the NHRA Texas FallNationals - in the books. We'll have one more session on Thursday, and then we're rolling right into eliminations. The JEGS Allstars are on the horizon and set to take place on Friday, as well! They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that is absolutely true when it comes to this race. Hat tip to the Texas Motorplex gang!
