It is unfortunate to hear about another studio (Queens Pole in Australia) denying a trans woman a membership at an only women’s studio. Trans women are women and trans men are men. Let’s be clear, we will never discriminate against anyone. It is deeply rooted in our culture to welcome all humans no matter their identity, gender, age or body type. Pole is something that brings many individuals together.

A students responded to our request for real talk posts. This one hurts, the last thing us instructors want is to hear that a student is feeling bad about their own progress.
Let’s talk about staying in your own lane and focusing on your journey!
Remember we all have different backgrounds that can influence how we progress. Also consider your body type for example…if you are tall with long limbs, inverts may be difficult for some time.
That one student you see on IG doing all those cool tricks? They once struggled in the beginning too! The moral of this post, be kind to yourself, speak up when you need help with a trick. Talk to other students. When you finally nail that move that was causing a blockage, we will cheer you on.
