Not every trip to the water has to end with a fish in hand.

Sometimes it’s enough to slow down, listen to the waves, and enjoy being outside.

Today I stopped by Alburgh Dunes State Park and there’s something calming about watching the water move—it’s a reminder for all of us to just get outside.

Whether you’re casting a line, taking a walk, or just sitting quietly by the shore, I hope you find a little time to enjoy the water this week.

Have you ever gone to your favorite fishing spot without bringing a rod? Tell us in the comments some of your favorite water sites.

A custom solution for a custom kitchen. This end grain cutting board was built to fit this space perfectly, creating a dedicated prep station that stays in place and is always ready to use. Handcrafted from a mix of hardwoods, it’s designed to be as durable as it is beautiful—and built to serve this kitchen for years to come.

Some days it’s about the size of the fish. Other days it’s about being on the water as the sun slips below the horizon. Tonight ended with a crappie in hand and another Vermont sunset to remember. Hard to ask for a better way to end the day.
