From team member Brian Flanagan :
Wow! I’m so excited to be on the podium here at the SCCA Time Trials National Championships in the Fastech Motorsports Corvette Z06! In a car we have had for less than 2 weeks, and straight off the trailer in full autocross trim, we competed with the best SCCA Time Trials drivers in the country. We ran the fastest S2 TrackSprint time on the East course, missed the fastest single lap of the weekend by 4/10ths of a second, and brought home the bronze, all in a car we had barely ever driven!
Thanks so much for the support of friends who kept checking on me all weekend; Sam Strano of Strano Performance Parts - Sam Strano for advice and parts; Lee Grimes of KONI Shock Absorbers for shock tuning advice; Scott Wright with Autocross Magnets for rushing us numbers and graphics, not once but TWICE when USPS lost the first batch; Reed Ward for coming up to help crew, tune on the car, and help repair an ignition issue we had; the guys at Hawk Brake Pads for supplying a set of their wonderful DTC-60’s when we ran out of brakes halfway thru the event; Dustin Stevenson and Mike Grumbles for the help and friendship over the weekend; Jeff Cox and Chasity for the Friday night steak dinner; and last but absolutely not least, my incredible wife Angie Donnell for supporting this whole crazy passion of mine and for keeping house in our RV while I obsessively ran around messing with race-related stuff.
Congratulations to Mark Sarcevicz for the win in S2!
