Ella has wrapped up her career in the novice and will be stepping into the pen as a youth exhibitor next year. It's a good thing she's getting her lead changes figured out!

𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒚𝒏𝒆!

Every once in a while, I get to be a part of something extremely special, helping find someone's first horse.

As we were shopping for a horse for my Dad, I got a message about a 20 year old haflinger needing a good home. Now, if you know anything about me you know that haflingers hold a pretty special place in my heart. Steve pulled at my heartstrings and a certain little horse crazy girl came to mind.

Haddie has had an incredible week, she won her first buckle AND got her first pony!

Sometimes God just puts you in the right place at the right time. ❤️

I do not normally take riders as young as Haddie, but due to a glowing recommendation I took her on. Then, this pony comes up that is the perfect old guy for a little girl to learn on. I can't plan that kind of story, it just unfolds in front of you and I'm grateful to be a part of it.

🌸 𝑪𝒂𝒕𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒏𝒂 🌸

In the 4 years that I have trained and worked on Cinder, I have only ever shown her on the rail. I stole her for some reining today and whew she showed up.

I absolutely adore this horse, her story is so inspiring and she has been a labor of love from the beginning.

Thank you Cinder for a fun ride this morning. You're one in a million.

We are all moved in for the Indiana Ranch Horse Association Midwest Classic!

Started our morning off with a clean run in the Jr Reining and we've got a lot of horse show left to go. Come out and see us!

His owner Riata was just crowed as Congress Queen!!! Riata Rouch did some really cool things as IQHA Queen and is a great choice for Congress Queen 👑

𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝑬𝒍𝒍𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓

Ella & Cinder won the high point performance buckle for the 14-18 division at the West Central Indiana Buckle Series yesterday.

Way to go you two!

Ella's dedication to her horse has very much set her apart from most youth. She has worked through so much with this horse over the last 3 years, we are very proud of the both of them.

𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒖𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓...

Slinky did not make the top 10 at the ILRHA 2 Year Old Futurity.

We had a very quiet go in the ranch riding, but did not make the finals. She had a pretty uneventful go in the ranch trail with a few bobbles, however with around 40 two year olds it wasn't enough to make the cut.

She had a good experience, and more importantly her show career does not end here. ❤️

At the end of the day, we have a nice two year old which I am excited to show and train as she develops. This is just the start of her career!

Slinky does have one more futurity for the year, so maybe she'll get them next time.

Thank you Illinois Ranch Horse Association for putting on such a wonderful event for these young horses. The quantity and caliber of horses that competed in both the 2 and 3 year old futurities this weekend just shows how much growth we have seen in the ranch horse events in the last several years.

Congratulations to all the winners!

(And losers, we all stayed on and that has to count for something!)

Thank you all for tagging along on this journey with Slinky from the day she arrived last fall. She has some big things coming for her 3 year old year too.
