Congratulations, Andrew! Five years of working toward your purple belt—never complaining, never asking, never making comments about how long you’d been a blue belt. You just kept showing up, trusting your coaches, putting in the work, and being one hell of a teammate. Well earned! 🟣🥋

Tonight was Coach Andrew’s last Judo class before moving to Wisconsin. We’re grateful for everything he brought to the team as a coach, training partner, and friend. We’re going to miss you, Andrew. Wisconsin is getting a good one!

One of the things I’m most proud of at 10th Planet Nashville is the level of instruction in the room.
Our students get to learn from experienced black belts in both Gi and No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, with different styles, different perspectives, and different ways of solving the same problems.
That matters.
The more good instruction you’re exposed to, the more complete your game becomes.
Different coaches. Different looks. Same goal:
Help everybody in the room get better.
That’s the standard we’re trying to build here.

Pushing yourself doesn’t mean acting like the toughest guy in the room.
It means showing up, working hard, helping your teammates get better and being honest about where you need to improve.
It’s easy to blame the room, the training partners, the pace, whatever.
It’s harder to look at yourself and ask what you can do better.
That’s how you build trust. That’s how you build loyalty. And that’s how a team actually gets better together.
Train hard. Be a good teammate. Keep moving forward.

The best part of training is the people you train with every day. The secret to being on a strong team is being a strong team member.
Building a complete grappling game means learning from people who know the details.
Coach Nate breaking down some Judo for the class and showing how it fits into Jiu-Jitsu.
Better stand-up. Better movement. Better Jiu-Jitsu.

The first Thursday Nite Titans is in the books.
This is our new Thursday night training block, and the idea is simple:
6 PM — Wrestling for Jiu-Jitsu
7 PM — Live Training
Two classes. One hard night.
Huge respect to everyone who made it through both classes tonight and became the first group to officially earn the Thursday Nite Titans name.
This is what we want Thursday nights to become — a room full of people who are willing to stay, work, push the pace and get better together.
You don’t have to be a competitor.
You just have to be willing to train hard.
Thursday Nite Titans has officially started.
Who’s joining them next week?

There’s just something different about a room full of people all putting in work together. 🤙
Everybody comes in for their own reason. Some want to get in shape. Some want to compete. Some want to learn how to defend themselves. Some just want something challenging to do.
But over time, you start building friendships, pushing each other, helping each other get better and becoming part of the team.
That’s one of my favorite things about Jiu-Jitsu.
Good training. Good people. Good room.
