Fall sports have now started in earnest, and really ramp up this week as our eight of our nine fall sports will be competing in regular season action (girls golf has their first tournament next week).

The Heritage Patriots saw three spring sport athletes get honored with league MVP awards, as junior Alonzo Alvarez earned top honors for baseball, sophomore Nicholas Cadero did the same for boys swimming and Natalia Avalos Paz was named the top female in girls swimming.

Senior Camille Williams and junior Eden Enoru both qualified as individuals to this weekend’s CIF Track Championships. Camille placed 2nd at the NCS Meet of Champions in the 300 meter hurdles, in a new school record time of 44.63 seconds, while Eden placed third at the MOC in both the 200 and 400 meters, becoming the first girl in school history to run sub-25 seconds in the 200 (24.96) and sub-56 seconds in the 400 (55.90). Way to go girls!

Great NCS first round win at Pitt today. JJ Kinnaird 6.1 IP, 2 H, 2 K - Tyler Williams 2-2, 2 RBI - Elijah Ward 1 hit, 7 assists and 2 put-outs at third base - Jason Stevens closes it out - we play 3:30 on Friday at De La Salle in the quarterfinals. Way to go boys!
