As an art, it is an open and inviting methodology that we as people can use to creatively participate in the process of reunion and remembering. The union of these two processes and the combined effect they have on the body, mind and soul is often more effective for enriching our overall health than traditional approaches. The overall approach has a combined effect that can best be described as subtractive in nature. In other words, it's not so much what you add, but what you take away. The great artist Michelangelo was once questioned about how he created his masterpiece David. His response was that the masterpiece was actually hidden in the marble the whole time. The beauty inherent in David was simply revealed through the process of methodically chipping away at all of the excess marble until he was finally discovered.
