What an amazing time we had today at Lion Martial Arts Taekwondo!

The new school year has just begun, and it was so great to see so many of our students bring their friends to the dojang and enjoy this special day together. ❤️

We trained in Taekwondo, played games, took on fun challenges, danced together, and of course… won some awesome prizes! 🎡🎁😄

But the best part was seeing everyone laughing, making new friends, and creating great memories together.

A HUGE thank you to all of our students, friends, and families who joined us and made today so much fun!

Most of the videos I share are real moments from our Taekwondo classes, training, and everyday life at the dojang.

But today, I decided to have a little fun with AI! 😎I tried some of the trending AI video styles — including one where I get to be the main character walking through the scene while everyone around me is dancing 😂 — and, of course, I had to add a little Taekwondo action and some fight scenes too! 🥋🔥

These videos are completely AI-generated and just for fun. AI can make me look like an action star for a few seconds… 😂

but real Taekwondo still takes real training, real sweat, and real effort!

Sometimes it’s fun to try something different.

[🥋 𝟯𝙧𝙙 𝘿𝙖𝙣 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚 — 𝟯-𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙍𝙪𝙣 & 𝟭-𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣]

The journey to 3rd Dan Black Belt is about more than physical strength. It is about discipline, perseverance, and a strong mind.

As part of their 3rd Dan Black Belt Test, twin brothers Jack & Jake took on a challenging physical and mental test:

🏃 3-Mile Run
🧘 1-Hour Meditation

What made us especially proud was that both brothers completed the entire 3-mile run without walking or taking a break, except for brief stops to drink water.

Step by step, mile by mile, they kept pushing forward together until they crossed the finish line. They never gave up and showed incredible determination from beginning to end.

After completing the run, they continued with one full hour of meditation, challenging not only their bodies but also their patience, focus, and mental discipline.

Jack and Jake have also worked hard as Junior Instructors, helping younger students and setting a great example in our dojang.

A Black Belt is not simply something you wear around your waist.

It represents the person you have worked hard to become.

[🥋 𝟯𝙧𝙙 𝘿𝙖𝙣 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – 𝙍𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩 🏃‍♂️]

This past Saturday, Jack and Jake completed their 3-mile Running Test as part of their journey toward their 3rd Dan Black Belt Promotion!

Reaching 3rd Dan is about much more than physical skill. It represents years of commitment, perseverance, discipline, and continued growth.

Jack and Jake have also been serving as Junior Instructors, giving their time and energy to help younger students in our dojang. Watching them grow from students into young leaders has been something I am truly grateful for and proud to see.

Thank you, Jack and Jake, for your hard work, dedication, and for being such a positive example to our younger students.

One more step toward 3rd Dan! 🥋🔥

Tonight, our Teen Class was even more special as some of our Family Class adults joined the training!

Different ages and different experiences, but once we step onto the mat, we train, challenge ourselves, laugh, and grow together. 💪

That’s one of the things we love most about Taekwondo everyone can learn from each other and inspire one another, regardless of age.

Great energy, great teamwork, and lots of smiles tonight !

A new school year has begun!

For our children, a new school year means new teachers, new classmates, new schedules, and new challenges. It is exciting, but it can also be a time of adjustment.

At Lion Martial Arts Taekwondo, we believe this is more than the beginning of another school year. It is another opportunity for our children to set new goals, build better habits, and become a little stronger than they were yesterday.

As instructors and parents, we cannot remove every challenge our children will face. But we can teach them how to face those challenges.

Tae Kwon Do Open Championships!

📍 Robert J. Collins Arena at Brookdale Community College

This is a great opportunity for our students to challenge themselves, gain valuable tournament experience, build confidence, and represent Team Lion! 🦁

Events include Obstacle Course, Board Breaking, WT Forms, Sport Poomsae, Olympic Sparring, and Demo Team.

Registration is now open!
⭐ Early Registration Deadline: October 18
🔴 Final Registration Deadline: November 29

Students who are interested in participating, please speak with Master Woo for more information and guidance on which events would be appropriate for you.

We would love to see many of our Lion Martial Arts students compete together and support one another!
