Bridgeport Disc Golf - Veteran's Park

Park City Disc Golf is growing and Veteran's Park is looking great. We now have over 600 Facebook likes and recently benefitted from cleanup efforts of ~60 Sacred Heart University students. Thanks to Dan Tressler and Drew Mullen for organizing this workday/clinic and for helping establish this important bond with SHU.

Wow thanks to all the volunteers that have spent the last few months spreading wood chips and clearing the downed trees, thorny bushes, invasive vines, and piles of debris. 17s green and that whole general practice area look AMAZING! Go enjoy this park!

Anyone have a spare $4M?

RIP hole 18 - You were a fun finishing hole. People loved to empty their whole bag trying to navigate your archway. You were mean on windy days, but always had love for the kids that piled their jackets around your chains. You were never aced, but I heard rumours of someone hitting the basket. A truck damaged your sleeve, but you carried on with the comfort of cold snow piled around you. You flew our Nation's colors proudly. You will be missed, but not forgotten.

EMERGENCY EMERGENCY - ALL HANDS ON DECK
There is a Bridgeport Parks Meeting tonight at the North End library at 6:30 (3455 Madison Ave). We need to fill the place. OUR DISC GOLF COURSE IS IN JEOPARDY. Sacred Heart University has proposed to build tennis courts in the main field at the parks entrance. It appears this will go through without much public outcry. This fast paced proposal would impact some of our best holes, not to mention take away the last open area of the park used by everybody. This is a very sudden development and WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT. Please SPREAD THE WORD and SHARE. I know this makes all of us very angry, but please remember to keep it positive.

Our annual tournament is on Sept 12...3 weeks away. There are only 30 spots left. We will sell out, get in while you can. All amateurs will receive these water bottles, a tourney stamped disc, and more. Here is the registration info: https://www.facebook.com/events/473350059513450/

Thanks to everyone who supported the course and bought a bag tag over the last two years. We finally sold out! New tags will not be available until 2016.

Who will be our 500th like?

Only 5 tags remain from our order of 100. They will be available at the course tomorrow during singles league which starts at 10am sharp. Thank you everyone for supporting the course.
