Results from Strong Style Lucha presents “Day Of Reckoning”
Saturday October 17th at the Moran Family Center in Bridgeport, Ohio
Triple Threat Match:
Jean Paul Les Miserables defeated Buckshot Billy and Stone Maxwell at 8:07. “The Master Mime” pinned “The Max Bet” after Billy put Maxwell through a “table” that Jean Paul had set up.
“Cut Throat” Clay Campbell defeated Austin Elm by submission at 9:00. Campbell locked Elm in his “American Venom” finisher to get the win.
The Fabulous Blondes (Harley T. Morris & Jay Bevington) defeated Proof Of Vision (Da Vision JK & Proof JD LeDuc) at 9:24. The SSL Light Heavyweight champion rolled up LeDuc and got some assistance from Morris to score the pinfall win for his team.
The King’s Court with King William The Great. The former William Renee, along with his “royal knights”, The Fabulous Blondes, welcomed his inaugural guest, SSL Champion Drew Ryans for a sit down interview. But the King just insulted Ryans the entire time, and when Ryans had enough, he was attacked by the trio who beat Ryans down until Gunnar Bergman made the save. This brought out SSL Commissioner Betty Frenzy, who made a match on the spot between Bergman and King William with the winner being the #1 contender for the SSL Heavyweight Championship.
Gunnar Bergman defeated William Renee at 10:26. Bergman caught “The King” with a big fall away slam to secure the win by pinfall.
SSL Tag Team Championship Match: White Trash Wilderness (Lumberjack Larsen & Terry The White Trash Luchador) defeated Double Tap (Aizen Kaiser & Zander Payne) by disqualification at 6:11. WTW had Kaiser set up for their “Trailer Park Twister” double team finisher, when Payne hit his opponents with one of the SSL tag belts. But since the titles can’t change hands via DQ, Double Tap retained the belts. This led to The Latin Tornado making a rematch between these teams for the December 19th event, with a no disqualification stipulation.
SSL Heavyweight Championship Match: “No Good” Nathan Aulridge defeated Drew Ryans to win the title at 6:35. Aulridge caught Ryans in his “NGNA” rear naked choke hold, causing Ryans to pass out.
AIWF World Heavyweight Championship Match: “The Unchained King” Brandon Day retained the title over Jamie Hall at 12:03. This hard fought, back and forth match ended when Day hit Hall with his “Crown Breaker” running lariat for the pin and win.
