Storm Hockey exists for the enrichment of the athlete with a developmental disability. Therapeutic Prior skating or hockey experience is not required.

Southern Connecticut Storm Special Hockey is dedicated to providing children from the age of five through young adult with a devlopmental disability the opportunity to play ice hockey. The program teaches skating and hockey skills, as well as gives the player the opportunity to play a team sport. What a fun day on Sunday! Sunday was Autism Awareness Night at the Bridgeport Islanders game at the Total Mortgage Arena. Storm was invited to a pregame skate on home ice before the 3pm game. Those who stayed for the game watched the Bridgeport Islanders lose to the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins, 2-5.
