Ciderspiel update...

The Muddy Chucks were back on the ice bright and early this morning for the D semifinals at 8:30. Despite the early start, they played well, picked up the win, and moved on to the D finals at 11:15.

With not much time to rest between games, five preseason games over the course of the weekend were definitely starting to catch up with them. Their bodies were beginning to shut down — and unfortunately, their curling started to show it. 😂 They came up short in the final, but after five games, they’re happily heading home tired, sore, and with a great weekend of curling behind them.

A big thank you to Dave and his crew at Plymouth State Ice Arena for another great Ciderspiel! We always have a great time and look forward to coming back again.

Ciderspiel update... 🥌🍎 The Muddy Chucks are headed to the A Event semifinals at Ciderspiel!

They opened play yesterday against Great Smoky Mountain Curling Club from Tennessee, picking up an 8–3 win.

Back on the ice at 9:00 this morning, they faced Mount Washington Valley and kept the momentum going with an 8–4 victory.

Now 2–0, the Muddy Chucks have earned a spot in the A Event semifinals and will be back on the ice tonight at 6:45 PM.

We want to wish Team Muddy Chucks good luck this weekend as they play in the Ciderspiel Plymouth Rocks Curling Club at the Plymouth State Ice Arena. Their first game is tomorrow at 2:45pm. Good curling to Chuck, Kendall, James and Emily. 🥌❤️

Join the South Shore Curling Club for our next Learn to Curl on Friday, September 18 from 8:15–10:30 pm at Bridgewater Ice Arena.

You’ll learn the basics, get some practice sliding and sweeping, and finish up with a short game. Then stick around for broomstacking—our post-curling tradition of food, drinks, and hanging out together.

No experience needed! We provide the equipment and instruction. Just wear warm, comfortable clothes and bring clean rubber-soled shoes (sneakers).

Summerspiel update... 7:30am draw and the Kraken Babes don't mix. They are out.

Thank you to the Cape Cod Curling Club for hosting another great summerspiel. We look forward to coming back, and doing better, next year.

Summerspiel update... the Kraken Babes played a Chicago team this afternoon. It was a good game, the teams trading ends. But the KBs gave up 4 in the 3rd end and although they were fighting their way back the time ran out and they were only able to play 7 ends. The Kraken Babes lost and play at 7:30 am tomorrow.

The Kraken Babes played a really good team from Milwaukee. It started out ok. Milwaukee stole 2 in the first and the Kraken Babes took 3 in the second... and it went downhill from there, LOL. The team we played against had more than 150 years of experience. The Kraken Babes had fun and play tomorrow at 3:30.
