Christmas is a season for kindling the fire for hospitality in our homes and the genial flame of charity in our hearts.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this year’s holiday charity drive. Together, we raised over $1300, donated toys and food to FISH (Friends in Service Here), and supported families in need across Middlesex and Somerset counties. Your generosity also reached far beyond, helping Women’s Aware shelter, children fighting cancer through St. Baldrick’s and St. Jude, in addition to those assisted by UNICEF-Jamaica Relief-Fund.
Through your kindness we’ve made a positive difference in many lives, and after all, that’s what the true spirit of the season and life for that matter is all about.
When I started counting by blessings, my whole life turned around. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
As Tagore once wrote, “I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy”.
