[07/16/20]   Good evening, we hope this message finds you and your loved ones well. We wish we had some positive news for you during these strange and difficult times, but unfortunately the following races have been canceled for 2020:

3rd Annual East End Trail Races - August 2nd
3rd Annual Kingston Waterfront Festival 5K - August 22nd
2nd Annual Canal Day 5K - September 12th

*All registered participants for the above races have been sent an email with more details.*

Our next race on the calendar is the 3rd Annual Run the Runway 5K that has been rescheduled to October 3rd. Let's hope we are all back to the starting lines by then! If so, we'll be rounding out the year with the return of the Massasoit Trail Races and the 9th Annual 5 Miles Home!

Crush Cancer 5K

Hi everyone! The shirt/bibs packets for the 2020 Crush Cancer Virtual 5K should've started arriving today. Most everyone will receive them tomorrow, with a few others getting them no later than Friday.

If you are still interested in signing up to run 'with us' on Sunday, it's not too late! Our shirt printer made us some extras! We will be shipping out a few more tomorrow morning from registrations that came in tonight. If your 2020 shirt size is no longer available when you register, we did add in some inventory from year's past to supplement. There is no guarantee you will receive them by the weekend (depending on where you live), but we will do our very best to get them out right away as folks continue to sign up.

We created a virtual race called the CoRUNathon taking place March 19-April 25! You can participate indoor or outdoors ! Registration is donation based.

where is the money going?? Well, it will DEFINITELY be staying local.
Donations will go to local families who are taking a financial hit during this time due to work and child care restrictions. We will be providing assistance to several families with Walmart cards, gas cards, pharmacy gift cards and more. We will be working with local organizations that provide assistance to those in need to help identify the families and provide them with some help.

[03/17/20]   In response to these unprecedented times with the ever-evolving nature of the COVID-19 situation, we have taken the following precautions:

April 26th- The 8th Annual Crush Cancer 5K will be a 'Virtual Event' for all participants. Everyone will receive their bibs and shirts in the mail prior to 'race day' and are encouraged to get outside or on their treadmills to participate and share photos. All net proceeds will continue to be donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

May 2nd- The 3rd Annual Run the Runway 5K online registration has been temporarily closed until the hosts can determine if this event will go off as scheduled or be postponed.

May 16th- The hosts have decided to postpone the 33rd Annual Strawberry Shortcake 10K to a later date that is yet to be determined. Online registration has been temporarily closed until the new date is secured.

May 17th- The 8th Annual Watuppa Trail Races online registration has been temporarily closed, though we are accepting wait list registrants to secure your spots in the interim (with no financial commitment up front). We will reopen online registration once it is determined if the race can go off as scheduled or if we have to move it to a later date. The permit for the back-up date is in process (and they are very accommodating).

An email has gone out to all the current registrants for each of the above races (please check your emails). We will update everyone as details are confirmed.

We do apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding during these uncertain times. Stay safe and healthy!

Crush Cancer 5K

To all our Crush Cancer supporters,

The Crush Cancer 5K and 3K Family Fun Walk, more than any other, is the event that means the world to us. Having both lost family members to cancer, we have been so thankful for the opportunity to join forces with all of you and contribute over $35,000 over the past 7 years to research and treatments that will hopefully help put an end to this dreadful disease.

Unfortunately, due to the ever-evolving nature of the COVID-19 situation, the recent restrictions put in place by Governor Baker, recommendations from the CDC, and some uncertainty surrounding our venue, we are in a difficult spot. All of that being said, in the 8 years we have been in business, we have never canceled a race and we absolutely refuse to have this be the first!

Effective immediately, rather than cancel this race completely and diminish the spirit of this event that has come to mean so much to so many, we will be transferring all registrants to our Virtual 5K. As such, everyone will receive a race shirt and bib prior to “race day”. On April 26th, we encourage all participants to get outside, go for a run or walk wearing their shirts/bibs, and snap a photo. Pictures can be posted to our event page - @CrushCancer5K. There is nothing like a show of solidarity and a great cause to make this challenging time a little brighter!

All net proceeds from the Virtual 5K will still be donated to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. So tell your friends, encourage your family members, and have anyone that was thinking of doing this event sign up to participate virtually. Let’s try to make lemonade out of lemons and have this be the biggest Crush Cancer event to date!

Together (though apart) we can still make a difference and fight to Crush Cancer!

[02/13/20]   Race Update: We regret to inform you the YMCA has made the decision to not host this May’s Tispaquin Run 5/10K and Woody’s Walk. The two running clubs that had this race on their Grand Prix calendars were notified last week so they could begin the selection process to replace it. Though we are disappointed this race isn’t going to happen, we respect the decision made by the hosts and know it wasn’t made lightly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We were not apprised of this prior and it appears any and all race results uploaded by race directors over the years are no longer available online and will not be able to be migrated to the new website taking over (which we don't plan to utilize). 2 Men Running 500 Miles From Cape Cod To Virginia To Raise Awareness About Veteran Suicide

The assistants to the race directors are working shifts at today’s 5 Miles Home early bib pickup. Come by Marathon Sports in Mansfield before 1pm to pick up your bib and meet the newest members of the Northeast family.

8th Annual 5 Miles Home road race

Online registration for the 8th Annual 5 Miles Home charity road race closes tonight at 10pm, so sign up soon!

Early bib pick up will be held Saturday (11/9) from 10am to 1 pm at the Marathon Sports in Mansfield. Walk-ups welcomed.

Day of bib pick up and registration will be held Sunday (11/10) from 7:30am to 8:45am at the race (Raynham Middle School - 420 Titicut Road). Walk-ups welcomed.
