Sept. 13: We started the morning back in the bluefish area. Like yesterday, we were marking plenty of fish, but they were tough to get to bite, with only a few coming over the rail on each drift.

We made a move offshore and found better action on bonito and albacore. It wasn’t hot and heavy, but we managed to put a number in the boat, with a few anglers putting 5 albacore/ bonito together in their catches.

Next weekend is our last scheduled weekend of bluefish, bonito & albacore trips, so come get in on the action while you can!

We also have plenty of space available on Tuesday’s 31-hour offshore tuna trip, departing at 7:00 AM.

Another very good night bluefish trip.

Blue Fishing was very good again Saturday night with many passengers catching their limit of bluefish up to 9 pounds.
The pool winner was:
Adam Graf from Dumont New Jersey with a 9 pound bluefish.
It looks good for next Friday and Saturday night. We will be night Blue Fishing leaving 7:30 PM returning approximately 1:30 AM.
The blues have been staying in the same area for the past three weekends and Fishing has been good.

 Offshore/Canyon Tuna
We have an offshore Tuna trip sailing Tuesday morning at 7 PM. We expect to catch mahi-mahi and yellowfin tuna on that trip.

We had a tougher day on the water today. In the morning, we were able to get some shots at bluefish and a few albacore before they no longer wanted to chew. We continued marking plenty of fish, but they just didn’t want to bite.

We moved to a new area and again marked fish well, but only managed to land a handful of larger bluefish and another albacore. We decided to make a move, put in some overtime, and eventually added more bluefish to the boat, along with porgies, a few keeper fluke, and a bonito.

It wasn’t the day we were hoping for, but we worked as hard as we could and kept moving to put a catch together for everyone. We’ll be back at it tomorrow!

Night Bluefish Saturday 7:30PM

Excellent fishing last night.
The Jamaica sailed at 7:30PM for Blue Fish and Fishing was excellent.
There were limits all around the boat catching bluefish up to 13 pounds.
The pool winner was
 Mike Granierei from Ivyland PA with a 13 pound bluefish.

It looks good for tonight and there is plenty of space available.

Pretty good day today! We started off the morning catching bluefish. They didn’t bite quite as well as we read them, but we had several good shots at 2–4 pounders, and several anglers were able to put together their limits.
Our pool winner, Gim Yee from Flushing, NY, also added two false albacore to his catch and lost another one right at the boat!

Once the bluefish bite slowed down, we went into search mode for false albacore and bonito. We ran into another big school of blues, but could only get a handful of them to bite.
While looking for bonito, we were able to add some keeper sea bass and a few short fluke to the catch before heading home.
The weather is looking great for the weekend, and we’ll be out there looking for them!

BONITO. ALBACORE. BLUEFISH.

Our 6:30 AM early departure special for Bonito, Albacore and Bluefish worked out pretty well today. The fish were chewing, and once again, our anglers put some quality fish over the rails.

Bluefish were hitting A27s and A47s with tails, while chrome A17s and A27s, epoxy jigs and Streaker jigs accounted for most of the Bonito and Albacore.
The fish were a little easier to catch today than yesterday. The experienced fishermen still had the edge, but anglers who worked their jigs were rewarded.

BONITO. ALBACORE. BLUEFISH.

The fish are chewing, and today’s anglers put some quality fish over the rails.

Bluefish were hitting A27s and A47s with tails, while chrome A17s, A27s, epoxy jigs, and Streaker jigs put most of the bonito and albacore in the boat.

These fish weren’t handing themselves out. The experienced fishermen had the edge today, and the anglers who knew how to work their jigs got rewarded.
