State of Michigan budgets $14M for a new Beaver Island ferry Built to serve passengers traveling to Beaver Island from Charlevoix, a new ferry will be owned by MDOT and operated by Beaver Island Boat Company.

Who walked back to camp along the Low Trail behind the State Cabin on Garden Island? Sometimes darkness settled in quickly when you were out near Monatous. It was a beautiful walk but could get rather spooky at times!
