Congratulations to our dancers who have been having a wonderful time in Dallas the last few days!
Brenna- 1st 🥇 in choreography, 6th in Broadswords, 2nd Runner up in the USIR Championships!
Quinn - 3rd Runner Up in Premiership, 6th, 6th in the USIR Championships!
Catie - 3rd Runner Up in Premiership

We had a great day at the Michigan Celtic Festival in Ann Arbor this past weekend!
Maren competed in her first Beginner competition and got her first stamp!
Zoey competed in her first Novice competition and also received a stamp! Zoey also placed 6th in the all ages Novice Trophy Fling!
To round off the morning competition, Edmund won the overall trophy in his Intermediate group!
Kennedy and Quinn did very well in the afternoon competition as well! Congratulations to all! We are very proud of you!

Another fabulous weekend of dance at the Alma Highland Festival!
Saturday results:
Maren competed in her last Primary competition and won 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd
Zoey broke her arm 10 days ago and was determined to compete, cast an all! She did amazing with a 1st, 2nd,4th,4th, earning her last Beginner stamp!
Edmund won his first overall group trophy with four 1st places!
In the choreography competition, Quinn placed 2nd in her group and Brenna placed 1st in her group!
In the open Championship, Kennedy was 3rd Runner Up with a 3rd, 3rd, 4th, 4th
Catie was 1st Runner up with a 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd! Way to go!
Today’s results were just as exciting!
Quinn, Miranda & Brenna all qualified for the US National Championships in Dallas! Quinn is the Regional Champion in the 16 & Under 18 with 3 firsts and a 2nd, Miranda is 1st Runner up in the 18 & Under 22 with four 2nd places and Brenna is the Regional Champion in the 22 & over with four 1st places!
So very proud of you all!

Congratulations to Edmund and Kennedy on their successes yesterday at the Michigan Celtic Classic and Queen Lakes Open Championship!
Edmund placed 2,2,5,5 and Kennedy placed 1st runner up overall in the championship! Well done!

Congratulations to the MMSHD crew at the Spartan Tartan competition yesterday! Overall- four 5ths, one 4th, three 2nds, FIFTEEN 1st places and three overall group trophies!! Well done everyone!

Congratulations to Kennedy who competed today in Cincinnati! Three firsts and a second and the overall winner for her group! She also placed 2nd in an all ages Hornpipe challenge! Way to go, girl!!
Also throwing a shout out to Zoey who performed last night at the St. Andrews Society of Detroit Fish Fry! Another busy weekend of dance for MMSHD!

Congratulations to our dancers who competed yesterday at the MWHDA spring competition in Plymouth!
Maren placed in all four of her dances in the primary group- 1,2,3,3!
Zoey won the trophy in her Beginner group with four 1st places!
Edmund placed in all four of his dances and was awarded Most Promising Intermediate dancer!
Kennedy placed in a tough Premier group and also won 3rd in the Hornpipe challenge! Quinn placed in 3 out of 4 dances and also won 1st in the Hornpipe challenge! Way to go!

Yay! Mark your calendars! This is always a fun competition!

Save the Date! Thanks to the behind-the-scenes efforts of some lovely people, there will be a 2026 Spartan Tartan! It will be held on May 2, 2026 at Great Lakes Christian College in Lansing.
