When you mention repetitive prayers, people like to tag that on the Catholic people because they pray the rosary. That's their choice, I don't look down on them or judge them for that. Religious Christian's have their own rosary called wordy prayers. Jesus said don't pray repetitive or wordy prayers because it doesn't do any good. Pray in alignment with God's Word.

Although Jesus was hungry He would not acknowledge His hunger because it was an indication of lack or need. He didn’t put His physical condition over His spiritual condition. Jesus spoke the written Word of God because He was able to discern what the Spirit was saying. Many times man puts his physical condition over his spiritual condition because he lacks what the Spirit is saying. When we learn to place value in God’s written Word, then God will supply all our needs.
