Success is derived from learning from ones mistakes and overcoming adversity. Our new team motto is if you don’t win, you learn. Learning is exactly what we did this weekend. We learned Jaxon loves racing on a big track, we learned we can compete with out of town kids, we learned we love our team, our fans and our competitors. We unloaded a very fast race car, and just starting to figure out the line, when not looking far enough ahead cost us pretty big. Out comes the back up car, mind you with the Gering set up on it, so dad and Uncle Chuck had A LOT of work in front of them. An 11 year old boy had to find his confidence again and understand that mistakes happen. At the same time, the local tech decided we had a bad case of going too fast our first time at their track, (not OWS). Add in engine gremlins, it became clear our weekend was going to consist of making the most out of the situation at hand. Qualified in top 10, started 10th and was a bit timid in not wanting to crash, and boy did they crash. In true Action Jaxon form he managed to avoid the chaos that insued in front of him with a couple of holy s**t saves, and pulled off finishing 5th. He did end up 4th after a local car refused to go to tech before going to his pit. So all in all, lots of broken parts, more gray hair for mom and dad and a great way to finish off the season.

Dad’s motto is, “refuse to lose” and mom’s prerace advice is, “go do Jaxon s**t” and last night Jaxon put it all together! He drove a respectable race and then pulled off an at the checkered flag pass to win the main even by 0.053 seconds! Liam, drove an amazing race and these two young men, pushed each other to be their best! So fun to watch. Such a fun night of racing at Gering! Jaxon got quick time, the trophy dash win and the main win! Very fortunate night!

Always a great time at Hiway 92 Raceway! Started the day a bit timid in first practice, Jaxon had to get past his own head, and he did! He got faster every time he hit the track! He qualified 3rd, won the trophy dash, and took 2nd in both outlaw mains! He lead quite a bit of the 2nd main, but due to an unfortunate incident and strange call on the last lap, he ended up second! He raced hard, learned a lot! We are so proud of our driver! Now on to CNS next weekend!

Night #3 is in the books! We survived the 3 long, hot and eventful days of racing! Last night Jaxon qualified 2nd, no dash for bandos, in the main he started 4th, had a great run going on the high side and then mayhem happened! Jaxon hit the wall after other cars got together and then into him. Jaxon is physically fine, just super bummed we have to fix his car again. We are so grateful for our family and friends that support him/us this weekend! Thank you! Oh and he also got the meet Kevin Harvick!

Night #2 of racing started out with qualifying 2nd, no dash for us, and started 5th in the main and finished 3rd! Jaxon picked up a passenger, Mr. Cone, in the main, and gave him a ride for a few laps. Once the cone decided that was enough, Jaxon got back into 3rd and had a fast car again! Now on to night #3!

It was a strange night with lots of schedule changes and just having to go with the flow, but Action Jaxon racing was able to find victory lane last night! He qualified 3rd, finished third in the dash and won the main event. Such a fortunate night of racing.

Sending healing wishes to the 61, sure hope Lilly is doing okay after her very scary crash last night.

We will be back at it again tonight! Come out to Colorado National Speedway for more racing fun!
