Boxing at the Bristol Sports Armory this week!!

The Bristol Sports Hall of Fame elected a new slate of officers for the next two years.

Bob Kalat was elected president of the Bristol Sports Hall of Fame, returning to the role after serving as President and Vice President. A former teacher and avid community volunteer, Kalat brings extensive experience. In addition to his positions on the executive board, he has served the BSHOF as the coordinator of the Induction booklet, chairman, and later co-chair of the Induction program and Chairman of the Selection committee.

Joining Bob Kalat as his Vice President is Sarah Larson. Larson has served as the Deputy Superintendent for Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth, and Community Services for six years, overseeing over 760 acres of parkland, 3 aquatics facilities, hundreds of programs, social service programs, and a community theater. As a director since 2020, Larson has served on the Selection Committee, Technology Committee, Induction Committee, and Leadership Committee. Sarah Larson’s election marks the first time a woman has served as the Hall of Fame’s Vice President.

Kalat and Larson join Secretary Eleanor Wilson and Treasurer Dave Greenleaf, who are currently serving a four-year term.
