Championship game recap. 🥈

The CT Cadets came up just short in the championship, falling 4-2 to Silk City ’28. Connor Laferriere drove in a run, Jovani Menchaca collected two hits, and Wilher Correa battled through six strong innings on the mound.

While the result wasn’t what we wanted, this marks the Cadets’ second championship game appearance of the season. This team continues to compete at a high level, and each tournament proves they’re getting closer.

The Cadets battled but came up short against a strong CT Crush Banks squad. Julian Olivier struck out seven in 4.1 innings, while Wilher Correa, Jovani Menchaca, Justin Quinn, and John Carney each recorded a hit.

The Cadets opened the weekend with a strong 6-1 victory over Simsbury! Connor Laferriere was dominant on the mound, throwing a complete game while allowing just one run and striking out six.

At the plate, Connor Laferriere and Justin Quinn each collected two hits, while Elijah Hairston, Cole Brinn, Max Anestis, and Wilher Correa added a hit apiece. The offense was balanced from top to bottom as the Cadets earned another team win.

🏆 CT Cadets Tournament Recap 🏆

What a way to start the season! The CT Cadets battled their way through their first tournament of the summer, earning a spot in the Championship Game after a weekend full of hard work, determination, and team baseball.

The championship came down to an intense battle, but the Cadets fell just short and finished as Tournament Runner-Up 🥈.

While the result wasn’t what we wanted, this team showed heart, resilience, and a lot of promise for the season ahead. Proud of the effort, energy, and fight from every player all weekend long.
