In our Learn2Wrestle program we fully embrace a games approach to introducing new athletes to the great sport of wrestling. This game is “Steam Roller”. It’s all about physical contact. In this clip you see all ages (K-8) and coaches participating. We find that kids in this day and age can be hesitant and sometimes overwhelmed pushing and shoving. Physicality and rough housing is often frowned upon. “Steam roller” isn’t really a game, but it exposes kids to physical contact and the fact that “Hey, you’re ok.” A coach just did a somersault across my back and “I’m ok.”. We have 4 more Saturdays for Learn2Wrestle. You can show up for all days, or one. Practices are intentionally planned independently from the others. Missing some will not affect anything. Our next practice is Saturday at 9 am.

What an amazing start! We loved seeing so many new faces on the mat, learning the fundamentals of wrestling, building confidence, making new friends, and most importantly having fun!
A huge thank you to all of the wrestlers, families, and coaches who made today such a great experience.
We’re excited to continue helping these young athletes grow both on and off the mat. This is just the beginning! 💪
