Every new day is a new opportunity to change what you have been doing. It’s a chance to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. You are the only person who is truly in control of the direction your life will head. You can choose to continue to remain comfortable in old habits, without pushing yourself to grow or you can force yourself out of that comfort zone to achieve things you never thought you were capable of. There is no point in dwelling on the past. What happened yesterday is old news. Look forward to the opportunities of today, tomorrow and every day after!

Not every day is going to be your best. You can’t expect to be at the top of your game each day. Some days the win is just being present, showing up when you don’t want to and doing what needs to be done. Discipline is “the ability to motivate oneself to act or work in a controlled, consistent way to achieve goals, regardless of difficulty.” You show up even when you don’t want to, you put forth the effort when you could find other things to do instead, and you are there for you because you matter most. Sometimes just being motivated isn’t enough. You can be motivated to do something but not actually follow through on it. The follow-through is where discipline kicks in. Choose you every time!

All the actions you take today, tomorrow and every day after will ultimately decide if you reach your goals. Even when those steps you take feel small, they are adding up to make big results. It is not about the drastic, dramatic changes you make. It matters more about the small, consistent changes you make every day. The longer you stick with the same habits the greater your results will be. The hardest part of this journey is consistency and sticking with it even when the results do not seem obvious. If you can make the commitment to yourself to stick with it no matter what and recognize the small wins when they happen your mindset will change over time.

🚨🚨REMINDER🚨🚨 Our annual Murph workout is on Monday, 5/25/26, at 9:00 AM. We are looking forward to another BIG turnout!!! Feel free to bring a friend or family member to join in on the fun! Please scan the QR code to have them fill out a waiver prior to the workout. We will have regularly scheduled classes this weekend on Saturday 5/23/26 and Sunday 5/24/26. There will only be ONE workout on Memorial Day at 9:00 AM to do the Murph 🇧🇪🇨🇷🇬🇹🇱🇷🇲🇦🇵🇾🇨🇶🇸🇷🇺🇸

You need three important things to be successful on your journey to a healthier you. First, you need fitness. You must move your body to shape it into something that will help you do your day-to-day tasks with more ease. The importance of strength training to build muscle is often overlooked because women do not want to look “bulky.” You can lift weights and transform your body into a lean, healthy, muscular physique without becoming “bulky.” Second, you need good nutrition to fuel your body, workouts and all that life throw at you. If you feed yourself garbage you will feel like it. Why would you want to sabotage all the challenging work you put in at the gym instead of using that work coupled with good nutrition to push you closer to your goal? It makes no sense to do double the work and guess what, you cannot out train what you eat! Lastly, you need a strong mindset to keep yourself focused on where you are going. If you have a solid mindset, you cannot be broken, shaken, or thrown off when a curveball is thrown your way. This journey is not full of only forward progression. There will be some back and forth, so you need a strong mind to push yourself. Find the right balance of this trifecta and you will be unstoppable 💪🏼

You are in the driver’s seat, no one else. There is only one way to get what you want and that is hard work. You cannot cheat the process and there are no short cuts. It takes hard work, dedication, determination, and commitment. This process not only requires you to focus on fitness, but you also must be ready to change how you fuel your body. Reaching your goals requires the entire commitment of fitness and nutrition to achieve the results you want. You must genuinely want it and be ready to earn it!

Being healthy is not just about what you eat. It has to do with your mental nutrition as well as your food-based nutrition. You need to feed your mind with healthy information to stay strong when it comes to making good choices in the kitchen. When you surround yourself with healthy habits, good influences and enforce positive changes it becomes that much easier to make good decisions in a nutritional sense. It all starts with the way you talk to yourself as well. Be kind to yourself and recognize all the things you are going through, the small steps you are taking each day to do better and celebrate your wins, no matter the size of them!
