The Warriors play CCRI today for the Regional Championship at home in a 3 game tournament. First game is at 12:00. Go Warriors!!
Massasoit’s ace pitcher Riley Burt chalks up 2 more shut-outs.

The Lady Warriors took to the road to take on regional opponent Dean college yesterday afternoon. Rylee Burt pitched a 5 inning shut-out with 9 strikeouts and 1 hit. At the plate Burt helped her cause by going 3 for 3 with an RBI. Ashley Andrade went 2 for 3 and Marina Palladino went 2 for 4. In the second game of the doubleheader, Rylee Burt pitched a 7 inning shut-out striking out 6. Kaila Lane went 2 for 3, Allie Gustin went 2 for 4 with an RBI and Steph Glynn went 2 for 4. Massasoit stands at 17-9 for the season which makes them #1 seed for the regional tournament.
Massasoit hosts the NJCAA Region XXI Div. II Championship Softball Tournament this weekend, April 27-28. The Lady Warriors have their sights on the Regional Championship when they take to the field against CCRI.

Rylee Burt (Whitman/Hanson) pitched 7 innings only allowing one hit and 8 strikeouts. Kendra Mcmasters (Bridgewater/Raynham) went 3 for 4 with an RBI, Marina Palladino (Carver) went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Karissa Pagan went 2 for 4 with an RBI.

Rylee Burt (Whitman/Hanson) pitched 7 innings only allowing two hits and striking out 5.
Massasoit Softball split with the Community College of Rhode Island. With the win over CCRI Massasoit is now seeded first and will host the Regional championships on Saturday 4/27!

The Warriors had a shaky start defensively in game one and were unable to string any hits together. Rylee Burt (Whitman/Hanson) pitched 6 innings striking out 6 and only allowed 3 earned runs.

Marina Palladino (Carver) had a two run home run to break the tie and take the lead in the 6th inning. Palladino played solid defense in outfield making key catches and cutting off two possible runs at the plate. Allie Gustin (Brockton) went 3 for 4 with an RBI and also played solid defense in the outfield.

Dean’s offense was no match for Rylee Burt. The sophomore captain over powered Dean College and picked up two wins in 10 innings with 13Ks, no walks and only 1 hit in the first game and no earned hits in the second game.
Felicia Pezzano had an RBI double, Steph Glynn drove in two RBI's and Amanda Young had an RBI double and did an excellent job behind the plate keeping the Dean hitters off balance both games.
The Lady Warriors take on division rival Dean College today at 3:00 and 5:00. Go Warriors!
The lady Warriors improve to 8-6 after sweeping New Hampshire Technical institute 11-4 and 17-1.

Massasoit Community College softball team looks to keep moving forward The Warriors went from two wins in 2011 to 11 victories a year ago, and the potential is there for more improvement this spring.
