✨ Fitness Fact Friday ✨

Did you know?

Women can lose muscle mass as we age, especially during perimenopause and beyond.

The good news? Strength training helps support muscle, bone health, balance, confidence, and everyday movement.

This season of life isn’t about punishment.
It’s about feeling strong, capable, and being our best.

Strong looks good on you.

Do you strength train yet, or are you thinking about starting?

Macros can feel overwhelming, but they do not have to be.

Think simple:
✨ Protein for strength and muscle support
✨ Carbs for energy
✨ Healthy fats for fullness and hormones

You do not need perfect tracking or perfection to make progress. Small, consistent habits add up.

Remember: consistency > perfection.

This might be my favorite Sunday activity.

Coffee in hand, sitting on the balcony, reflecting on the past week, thinking about the week ahead, and grounding myself in what I’m building, who I’m becoming, and what truly matters.

This morning, my mind is a little full.

Thinking about my senior dog, Ellie, needing dental surgery and hoping she feels better soon. Thinking about my return to running starting this week (hello old friend). Thinking about my sore legs from lunges because apparently I still make questionable choices.
Thinking about swimming lessons and what it feels like to try something new in my 50s.
Thinking about whether I can give myself permission to take a week off for vacation.
Thinking about my clients and how proud I am watching them grow stronger, more confident, and believe in themselves again.

If I’m honest, sometimes it feels like I’m carrying a lot.

The responsibilities. The business. The people I care deeply about. The dreams I’m still building. And if I am being honest….beginning again in my 50’s feels really hard.

But alongside that? I feel incredibly grateful.

Grateful that I get to do work I love.
Grateful for my able body.
Grateful for growth.
Grateful for second chances, new beginnings, and quiet mornings like this that remind me to slow down and reconnect to what matters.

Sundays aren’t always about planning the perfect week.

Sometimes they’re about asking:

What would make next week feel meaningful, not just productive?

How can I show up for everyone I care about and still show up for myself?

For me: a little consistency, a little courage, a little rest, and a whole lot of grace.

What’s on your mind this Sunday morning?

Stress Free Saturday check in 💙

No perfection required over here.

Did you move your body this week? Drink your water? Get your protein in? Prioritize sleep? Give yourself some grace?

Progress is not built through perfection. It is built through the small things we do consistently.

Tell me one win from your week. Big or small, I want to celebrate it with you.

Many women are choosing tools like GLP1s during perimenopause because, quite honestly, it can feel like their body suddenly changed the rules.

Hunger changes. Cravings change. Sleep changes. Recovery changes. Weight that once felt manageable suddenly feels harder to navigate.

I believe in transparency, so I wanted to share a little of my own experience.

I tried a GLP1 for a short time and did notice some benefits, including a reduced appetite and less inflammation. But for me personally, the side effects became too bothersome, and I decided it was not the right fit for my body.

What it did give me was a better understanding of what some women may experience when using tools like GLP1s. The wins, the struggles, the side effects, the hope, and sometimes the frustration.

And it reaffirmed my role as a coach.

My job is not to judge the tools women choose. My role is to support, guide, and help women build the habits that create long term change while honoring what works best for their body.

Because tools may help, but habits are what last. And every woman deserves support, not shame.

What tools have you used during this time?

Strong looks good on you.

Not because of a number on the scale. Not because of a clothing size. Not because you have everything together.

Because strength changes how you carry yourself. How you trust yourself. How you move through hard things.

Confidence grows when you prove to yourself that you can do hard things one rep, one walk, one choice at a time. Confidence starts when you show up your yourself.

Tell me:

What is one strong thing you did for yourself this week?

Thirsty Thursday means drinking more water.

Four down for me and maybe one more to go. How about you?
