Trying out a different type of mask! I know that I’ve had some trouble adjusting to seeing everyone wearing masks and not being able to read facial expressions. Some of our riders have the same issue and it can be more difficult when they already have trouble reading social cues. We’re hoping this helps!

Weaving has many benefits including:

-Fine motor skills
-Hand-eye coordination
-Spatial relations
-Visual tracking

Add riding a horse to the mix and you get the additional benefits of:
-Balance
-Core strength
-Coordination

We collected leaves, branches, and flower from around the arena (focus, observation, sensory) to weave through hay twine.

Did you know that therapeutic horseback riding can be a family activity? It is a great way to build common experiences between family members and the perfect activity to build a bond through. Families can interact directly with the rider on the horse or by assisting with activities.

What we love about this picture is the multiple generations represented! The rider's cousin and grandmother are working with him and he is blowing kisses to another family member off out of the frame!
