🎉🎉 Mr. DeVore’s Work Anniversary! 👏

Mr. DeVore has been part of Martial Arts Advantage for a long time -> first giving his time as an instructor, and officially joining our team in 2016.

If you’ve spent any time around him, you know he has a unique ability to spot a problem approximately 3.7 seconds before everyone else realizes there is one. :smile: Add in a dry (and AWESOME) sense of humor, years of experience, and a no-nonsense approach to training, and you get a pretty great combination.

Perfect example of this humor we speak of… when asked what students might be surprised to find out about him his response was “I’m a huge fan of QR codes.” 🤣

With a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and Expert Level 1 in Krav Maga, Mr. DeVore brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to our adult Krav Maga students.

We’re grateful for the years he’s invested in MAA, the students he’s helped train, and the perspective he continues to bring to our team.

It doesn't have to be a huge accomplishment. Maybe you kept going through a difficult week. Maybe you tried something new. Maybe you helped someone. Maybe you simply showed up when it would've been easier not to.

Progress isn't always loud.

The student who seems to have everything figured out may have been practicing for months or even years.

Instead of asking, “Why am I not there yet?” ask, “What can I improve today?”

Progress becomes a lot more enjoyable when you're focused on your own next step. 👊🥋

What parents can do is help children build the confidence to speak up, recognize when they need help, walk away from situations that aren't safe, and know which trusted adults they can turn to.

The goal isn't to teach kids to fight every problem.

It's to help them feel capable, supported, and prepared to make good choices when things get difficult. ❤️
