SHAWN OLDEN | CLASS OF 2014
🏆 2012 & 2014 STATE CHAMPION 🏆

This week's Alumni Spotlight features former Union standout Shawn Olden, a TWO-TIME State Champion who helped bring home championships in 2012 and 2014!

For Shawn, some of his greatest memories were winning those championships and bringing success back to the community that supported him. Being part of Union Basketball meant representing a program with a proud tradition, playing alongside great teammates, and learning from outstanding coaches.

FROM UNION TO THE PROFESSIONAL RANKS

After graduating in 2014, Shawn continued his basketball career at Pepperdine University before transferring to TCU, where he finished his college career and earned his degree.

Shawn then took his talents to the PROFESSIONAL LEVEL, playing basketball around the world in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Australia, and Canada!
Throughout his professional career, Shawn has continued to find success, including winning multiple professional championships!

ADVICE FOR CURRENT UNION PLAYERS

Shawn's advice to current players is simple but powerful: Be present every day, limit distractions, put in consistent work, and trust the process!
Success doesn't happen overnight. It takes discipline, patience, sacrifice, and a commitment to improving every single day!

We are incredibly proud of Shawn and everything he has accomplished! He is a great example of the tradition of excellence that makes Union Basketball special!

This season, we are excited to introduce our Union Basketball Alumni Spotlight! Throughout the year, we will be highlighting former players who have helped make Union Basketball the special program it is today!

Our alumni will share what being part of Union Basketball meant to them, some of their favorite memories from their playing days, and where life has taken them since graduating from Union.

Our program is about more than just basketball. It's about the relationships, memories, lessons, and traditions that last a lifetime!

We cannot wait to recognize some of the great players who have helped build the proud tradition of Union Basketball!
