THE CREATION OF PHIT
PHIT, an acronym for Physicality Heals Inner Turmoil, was born from a personal journey full of challenges due to lack of knowledge on health, depression, self-esteem and motivation. In 2010, I was diagnosed with hypertension, pre-diabetic, high cholesterol and obesity. While I considered myself to be a fairly active person, the reality of a medical diagnosis made it all too re

al. I was obese. I did have bad eating habits. I did lack knowledge on nutrition and didn’t know how to properly pay attention to my body’s physical and nutritional needs. This awakening of self, allowed my mind to open up to what I needed to do… for me! I could not see myself at 24 years old, relying on prescription medication to live the rest of my life. I had to fix this! It was then that I decided to educate myself, not just on what I was feeding my body, but what I needed to physically do to heal myself. It has been a long road traveled but I couldn’t be a happier person today. It was years of trials, tribulations, aches and pains. Not only has my body gone through the physical change but my health has improved. Through this process, my battles with depression and lack of self-esteem have slowly diminished and allowed me to see a better person. While the first thing we see in the mirror is the physical presence, it is the happiness and peace in the reflection that gave me the biggest satisfaction. It is the sense of accomplishment for slowly defeating my turmoil. PHIT was created in hopes that it will bring to others what it has brought to me. It is not a promise to create a bodybuilding champion or provide a diet for weight loss. It was created to guide a lifestyle change that will make a better inner and outer you. PHIT MISSION
